Chairman & Group President, Ryland T. Campbell C.D. receives Doctor of Education in Administration & Leadership Award
At the Mico University College’s Commencement Exercise on Saturday, December 3, 2011, Capital & Credit’s Group Chairman, Ryland T. Campbell, was awarded an honorary degree of Doctor of Education in Administration & Leadership.
As such, he is now Dr. Ryland T. Campbell C.D.!
The ceremony was made even more special, as the packed audience on the University Grounds heard Dr. Campbell, who was also the special guest speaker at the event, address the graduands on “The Meaning And Purpose Of Graduation.”
In his challenge to the newly-graduated Miconians, Dr. Campbell told them that “Graduation is a process that goes on until the last day of the graduand’s life. If you can grasp that, you will make a difference.”
He gave them advise on facing the challenges of the new age, pointing out that, “the principal saving grace for this country’s future is education – education from the womb to the tomb, fashioned within the context of this NEW AGE – The Information Technology Age.”
Dr. Campbell points to Education as “the engine to help foster economic growth, enhance productivity, contribute to the personal and social development of a people and promote the reduction of social and economic inequalities.”
He further exhorted the graduands “to be you, and be the best of you, symbolizing the excellence for which this noble institution is known.”
