Capital & Credit Remittance Limited (CCRL) has appointed a General Manager to operate its local remittance business.

CCRL General Manager, Sheron Dixon-Brown

On March 1, 2009, Mrs. Sheron Dixon-Brown, formerly the Manager of Remittance Services at CCRL, was appointed General Manager by Chairman & Group President of Capital & Credit Financial Group, Ryland T. Campbell, who says the appointment will effect better efficiencies, synergies and ultimately increased profitability for the money transfer business.

In her newly created post, Mrs. Dixon- Brown, has responsibility for the management of the overall local Remittance Operations as well as the Business with overseas alliances.

According to Mr. Campbell, organisational strategies implemented for the remittance business resulted in positive trends in profitability by the end of 2008, although this business arm lagged behind in the delivery of strong performance compared to its sister companies in the Group.

For her part, Mrs. Dixon- Brown says, “Plans are in place to thrust the remittance business on a more focused path to growth and profitability.”

Sheron Dixon-Brown has 22 years experience in the financial industry, specialising in customer service and operations.  She holds an MBA in International Business from the Mona School of Business, University of the West Indies (UWI) and also a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting & Management (Honours) from the UWI.

CCRL was established in 1996 and provides money transfer services, through franchise products from remittance partners in the United Kingdom, North America (including Canada) and the Caribbean, via its own flagship brand, Reggae Money Express.

Reggae Money Express (RME) was one of two Money Transfer companies chosen last December by the National Housing Trust to pay out refunds to its contributors island-wide.
