LABOUR DAY
CCFG's 2010 Post-Labour Day initiative saw staff members staying true to their commitment to assist the less fortunate in Jamaica, by visiting the Jamaica Christian Boys' Home in June, to plant shrubs and miniature fruit trees at the facility.
The CCFG Team came out in their numbers to participate in this 'beautification project' which helped to lift the spirits of the boys at the Home.
CCFG OCHO RIOS TEAM GIVES A BOOST TO THE ST. ANN INFIRMARY
The CCFG Ocho Rios staff also engaged in giving back to their community in a Post-Labour Day project this year, by repainting a section of the Men's Ward of the St. Ann Infirmary. The CCFG Team along with the staff at the Infirmary 'put hands and hearts together' to give a well-needed face-lift to this area of the facility.
The Capital & Credit Ocho Rios team had also visited the Infirmary earlier this year to donate bags of groceries and food supplies, which they purchased with prize money won in an inter-branch Christmas Decorating Competition in December, last year.
CAPITAL & CREDIT STAFF REACHES OUT TO HAITI
Capital & Credit Employees and the Capital & Credit Financial Group pooled their resources together to assist the thousands of Haitians who were displaced by the catastrophic earthquake in January this year.
The team members, who were motivated by their deep concern for the citizens of the neighbouring country, launched the ‘CCFG Staff For Haiti – Lunch Ticket Programme’ just a few days after the devastating earthquake occurred. The Capital & Credit Financial Group then provided a matching contribution to assist with the purchase of relief supplies destined for Haiti.
At the end of the Programme, which ran up until March 31, the team was able to purchase necessary supplies which included: 85 cases of bottled water; 20 cases of baby diapers; 3 cases of baby wipes; 1 case of sanitary napkins; 7 cases of antiseptic and 50 cases of Panadol, which made up part of the shipment of a 20-foot container that was sent to a field hospital in Haiti, organized jointly by the Haiti-Jamaica Society and Nationwide News Network.
